February Guild Meeting
February 10, 2027 @ 6:30 pm – 8:45 pm
Gale Zucker will present Fabulous Photography for Knitters & Makers : Creating and Editing Images in Your Phone
What do we love almost as much as knitting & making ? Showing and telling about our handmade !
In this 1-hour virtual zoom workshop, professional knitwear photographer Gale Zucker will share her work shooting yarn, knitting, textiles and wool with tips & tricks you can put to use for your own photography. It will be about creating gorgeous photos with your phone, images that will tell the story of your knitting beautifully!
The presentation will cover using your phone camera optimally, planning your photo, composition, choosing backgrounds, thinking about light working with people in knits ,and posing. We will look at inspirational photos and compile ideas that you’ll want to use right away.
Gale will briefly touch on In Phone Photo Editing of images, adding the magic that makes viewers stop, drop and drool via Snapseed, a free and friendly editing app available for both IOS and Android. There will be time for Q&A.
Participants will leave class more confident in creating strong visuals for social media and anywhere else. They will have the skills to make images ready to use online and in print.
All participants will receive a PDF handout covering the material presented and with linked resources.
