November Guild Meeting (ZOOM ONLY)

Mary Jane Mucklestone will present Strategies for Fair Isle Knitting

**The meeting will ONLY be broadcast on Zoom.
Link will be shared to members by email. **

Mary Jane Mucklestone will give a slide presentation that explains what makes Fair Isle knitting different from other types of stranded knitting and why she thinks it’s the easiest and best way to begin. She will delve into the history of the technique and present 8 basic principles that make the work efficient in both time and materials. Learning about the traditional use of color usually helps knitters become more confident in their own color choices. Mary Jane will also give advice on how to choose a Fair Isle pattern and what strategies to employ when you are swapping out colors from the designer’s original. There’s no homework, but feel free to have any projects you are currently struggling with for inspiration.
